ut rather sure the other station is Serbian as scheduled, and same
situation after 2359 as IRS starts English. Wolfgang Bueschel had noted at
2000 the other Bijeljina frequency, 6100, was back on the air in German.
(Glenn Hauser-OK-USA, dxld May 23)
I phoned yesterday the technical department of IRS in Belgrade, and
they've told me to phone them on Friday at noon, because the technical
director is NOT in Belgrade. I've asked them is he in BIJELJINA, they
confirmed it! So, there were some repairs at Bijeljina, I suppose ...
Dear DXers, Today at 1000 UT I phoned Belgrade, and they told me Predrag
Graovac, technical director of IRS will be back in Belgrade on Monday (May
26) till noon local time, and then should I call him. I've been told that
tech. director is in BIJELJINA-YABANUSHA TRANSMITTING STATION, and he has
been supervising a replacement of electronic tube in the transmitter.
(Dragan Lekic from Subotica-SER, dxld May 23)
Dear DXers. Today (May 29) I finally phoned Belgrade, and I have had a
very long and pleasant conversation with Predrag Graovac, technical
director of the International Radio Serbia.
The transmitter in Bijeljina, Bosnia had some small difficulties, so
tomorrow Mr. Graovac will go to BIJ tx, for the third time in past 10
days! He told me from tomorrow, the transmissions from Bijeljina will be
fully operational ...
On my question about broadcasts to Australia, he told me in about 2 or 3
months when the antenna will be repaired, the transmission will be
implemented.
BEO tx (Stubline, Belgrade, Serbia) is operational on 7200 kHz, but the
antenna is totally covered with thick trees and grass (!), so in next
period they will move the antenna to the clean area - in several months
from now.
New DRM ready transmitter for the Subline station will be bought in the
future, after new Serbian government will be formed ...
6185/6190 I suggested Mr. Graovac to move the Nort America transmission
up with 5 kHz, as Glenn Hauser suggested, and he told me that will be done
as of tomorrow.
EFFECTIVE 2330 UTC, MAY 30, 2008 INTERNATIONAL RADIO SERBIA REPLACES 6185
