ARMENIA 9830 Ich habe heute (11.12.2008, um 1345-1400 UT) auf 9830 kHz
eine Station in Japanisch oder Koreanisch gehoert. Laut Aoki wuerde
VoWilderness via Yerevan passen. Hat diese Station einen religioesen
Hintergrund? Als Details konnte ich eindeutig die haeufige Erwaehnung von
Jesus Christus u.ae. erkennen.
Ja. Voice of Wilderness ist eine Programm der koreanischen Abteilung von
Cornerstones Ministries International mit Zielgebiet Nordkorea.

beamed toward SE Asia. YL announcer w/ mx bumpers. Fair at best, but
difficult to understand the talking.

AUSTRIA In a press release send out today ORF confirms that the
transmissions on 1476 kHz, in the headline of this release declared as
"tests" (this would be a "test" that lasted 11 years), will cease as of
New Year's Day. As remaining border-crossing services they refer to
shortwave and the unencrypted satellite transmissions of the ORF 2 TV
network (in fact all ORF radio transmissions via satellite are FTA, too).
Beyond that the press release reveals that DAB will be closed down as
well. No commercial broadcasters participate in this DAB service, thus
hereby DAB will be shut down in Austria altogether.

Portuguese talk. Poor with QRM from a weak Nigeria on approximately
6089.95 kHz. Covered by Anguilla at their 2214 UT sign on. Better on //
9645.29, 11925.23 kHz.
11721, 11839 Radio Nac do Amazonia, 0205-0215, Dec 18, very distorted
matching spurs from 11780 heard again with Portuguese talk, instrumental
music, local music.
