AUSTRALIA The 500th edition of Australian DX News monthly magazine of
the ARDXC - Australian Radio DX Club was printed recently and received in
EUR. The Club has now around 200 members, was founded on 19th June, 1965
by 23 DXers. The first 20 years of the ADXNs are scanned now on DVD-ROM.
In ADXN No. 500 there are many pictures with longhaired DXers with valve
receivers, Congratulations! (Feb 22).

BAHRAIN Seems to be 24 hours on 9745 kHz, observed several times night
and daytime, but almost with songs in Ar. Noted with talks in Ar 1200-1230
UT feat. pray and sermon muslim till 1209 UT and nx in Arabic (Feb 16-21).

BANGLADESH 7250 Bangladesh Betar, at *1230-1259* UT on Feb 17, sign on
with IS. Opening English ID announcements at 1230. Short bit of local
music & into English news. 10 seconds of local music at 1237 and more
news. Local music at 1243-1259. Abrupt sign off. Back at *1313 with IS &
into listed Nepali programming at 1315. Surprisingly strong signal but hum
& low, muffled audio made reception difficult & hard to understand.
Occasional HAM QRM also.

BOLIVIA 5952.46 R. Pio XX at 0210-0230* UT on Feb 26. Presumed with
Sp(?) talk to 0223, then a bit of mx. Apparent closedown annmt at 0228 UT;
thought I heard the River Kwai signature mx but could not be sure due to
severe splash from WYFR 5950 kHz.
