Yes this site also houses txers/antennas for 6WF, 6RN & 6PB. I cannot be 100% sure, but I'm fairly certain that THIS site was known as Wanneroo in the past. As Perth's population expanded it encroached into the greater regional area of Wanneroo as I recall. Back in the 80's we always referred to this site as Wanneroo (but not now for existing MW transmissions). I cannot say how long the suburb of Hammersley has been in existence, but this is now the name of the region where the ABC MW site is & as I understand, where the SW site was located. I can't say without consultation with technicians who worked there where the individual antennas were, but apparently there were up to 3 on air at the same time, so obviously at least 3 SW antennas existed pre 1994. 6WF 720kHz, 6RN 810kHz & 6PB 585kHz broadcasts from the site. Other Aussie domestic SW sites to have changed names (DUE TO NEW SUBURBS) would be old locations of VLI (Liverpool) & VLR (Lyndhurst). See the Excel Files. I have one contact from the old Lyndhurst site who might know more?
