presumably for 576 kHz etc: 25 07 14 N 102 45 10 E
There s supposed also to be a Yunnan PBS Site 7 used for the Minorities
Sce and transmissions to SE Asia (so it must be the SW site), at Shalang,
north of Kunming, not yet found and probably in GE low-res area near
25 10 N, 102 39 E.
Lianyungang: CNR-1 567 kHz, Lianyungang PBS 1458 kHz 10 kW, and
probably also Jiangsu PBS 702 kHz: 34 39 55 N 119 09 17 E
Xichang: possible Sichuan PBS site 27 48 40 N, 102 13 45 E.
WB: rather 27 48 42.12 N 102 13 46.15 E
The location in a south-facing valley in a hilly area SW of Xichang
matches a web description of the Sichuan PBS MW/SW, but I m not sure I
can see any SW antennas here for the 6 MHz 50 kW transmitter.
ERROR? >>>>
Jinan-Huangtai 594 kHz 50 kW/918 kHz 200 kW/1251 kHz
36 42 01 N, 117 05 22 E ???
Linyi 1548 kHz: acc Fallingrain is close to 35 03 47 N 118 20 34E
ist 215 kilometers sourth east !!!!
?? mainpower 35 03 38.58 N 118 14 54.56 E
You re right Wolfgang a cut and paste error on my part. The co-ordinates
are for Jinan-Huangtai, and I don t know the exact location of the Linyi
site.
I believe the Jinan-Huangtai site is using 918 kHz with a 200 kW Harris
transmitter with a 50 kW Harris unit as reserve. Weifang is on 1548 kHz,
but I doubt with anything near 200 kW.
The sites for Shandong PBS News Sce mentioned in various web sources are:
891 kHz: Dongying
918 kHz: Binzhou, Dezhou, Heze (10 kW), Jinan-Huangtai (200 kW), Jining,
Laiwu, Rizhao (10 kW), Tai an, Yantai (10 kW)
1467 kHz: *Beizhen (1 kW), Dezhou (1 kW), *Xin Xian (1 kW)
1485 kHz: *Dan Xian (1 kW), Liaocheng (1 kW), *Lu Xian (1 kW),
*Pingyi (1 kW), *Tai an (1 kW), *Weihai (1 kW)
1548 kHz: Linyi (7.5 kW), *Longkou (10 kW), *Qingdao (10 kW),
*Rongcheng (10 kW), Weifang (10 kW)
*= sites not mentioned on Shandong PBS website
I can t explain the double listings for Dezhou on 918 and 1467 kHz and for
Tai an on 918 and 1485 kHz. Probably there have been frequency changes for
these sites. The powers listed for some sites may be out of date, but
probably haven t changed dramatically.
COSTA RICA RADIO FOR PEACE INTERNATIONAL RIP ??
While their webpage still exists,

the program grid has not been updated since Sept, the audio linx don't
work, and no replies have been received from the contact address, nor from
its last known operator, Joe Bernard. Does anyone know anything definite
about the fate of RFPI, which continued as a web station following its SW
demise in Costa Rica?
