The HFCC basket "NVS" also contains transmissions via another
site, in the village of Raduga near Oyash, about 80 km northeast of
Novosibirsk. The shortwave side of this site, built in the seventies,
consists of three 1000 kW Buran transmitters, usually run at 500 kW. So
one can tell apart both sites by way of the power.
If you want to catch transmissions from Bolshakovo (Kaliningrad district):
Current schedule for Voice of Russia is 0700-0900 and 1100-1500 on 9435
(Russkoye Mezhdunarodnoye Radio and Sodruzhestvo into the Caucasus
region), 1000-1100 on 9720 (German), 1600-2300 on 7285 (Sodruzhestvo and
Russian world service), 1630-1900 on 5975 (Serbocroatian and Bulgarian)
and 1800-2200 on 5950 (French). I think at present no other station uses
this site for shortwave transmissions.
SAINT HELENA Dear friends, I'm afraid my report on the St.Helena
broadcast is a little bit behind everybody else's. The reason is that my
house received a direct lightning strike last weekend which wiped out
almost everything electronic leaving me pretty much without any
communication save the cell phone. One of the few items which survived is
luckily my AR 7030, undoubtedly only thanks to the fact that it was
disconnected from everything and put away in a cupboard. Anyway, all the
destroyed equipment has been replaced by the insurance company by
yesterday and I'm more or less back to normal. It took the telephone
company 5 hours just to re-wire the place!
Anyway, I had a chance to check the St.Helena broadcast on the 15th
November several times with the following SINFO results:
2000 - 24433 2015 - 24422 2030 - 24321 2215 - 24432
2230 - 24433 2300 - 14421
