RESOLUTON OF THE
MUCIP AL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JERSEY CITY
AUTHORIING APPLICATION OF THE SUSTAIABLE JERSEY SMAL GRA
WHREAS, one øf the goals of the Sustainable Jersey progr is to provide grant resources to
mUncipalities for quaified sustanability projects. For ths, they have created a grant program called
the Sustaable Jersey Small Grants; and .
WHREAS, Jersey City strves to save ta dollars, improve land, air and water quality, and improve
workig and livig environments of the communty; and
WHREAS, the Jersey City MUncipa Council established the Jersey City Environmenta
Commssion to pursue these goals and set as its priority the creation of an Enviromnenta Resource
Inventory. Ths is a comprehensive report that will serve as a reference for land use planng, best
management practices, public infastrctue, and open space; and
WHREAS, the City Council of Jersey City seeks to apply for a $25,000 Sustainable Jersey Small
Grant in order to complete Jersey City's Envionmenta Resource Inventory, a key component ofthe
sustaable program; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Muncipal Council of the City of Jersey City
hereby authoris and diects application and submission of the aforementioned Sustainable Jersey
Small Grant in order to fud and complete an Environmenta Resource Inventory for the City.
