RESOLUTION AUTORIING TH CITY OF JERSEY CITY TO ENTER INTO A COST<br />

REIMUREMENT AGREEMENT WITH TH NORTH JERSEY TRASPORTATION<br />

PLAG AUTORI AN TH NEW JERSEY INSTITUE OF TECHNOLOGY WICR<br />

WlL ENABLE JERSEY CITY TO RECEIV FUING FORFU TASK ORDERS<br />

COUNCIL AS A WHOLE OFFERED AN MOVED ADOPTION OF TH FOLLOWING<br />

RESOLUTON:<br />

WHREAS, each year, the Nort <strong>Jersey</strong> Trasporttion Plang Authority (NITPA) develops<br />

a Unifed Planing Work Program that includes the.Subregionii Transporttion Planing (STP)<br />

Program; and<br />

WHREAS, the <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> Division of <strong>City</strong> Planing is the designated Subregional<br />

TransporttionPlaning agency for the <strong>City</strong> of <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong>; and<br />

WHREAS, the NJTA has approved $71,976.25 for implementation of Fiscal Year 2012 STP<br />

Program; and .<br />

WHREAS, of the fuding available as of July!, 2011, the Federal Highway Authority<br />

(FHW A) contributes $43,185:75, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) contributes<br />

$I4,395.25 and the local match is $14,395.25;<br />

NOW, THREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Municipal Council of the <strong>City</strong> of <strong>Jersey</strong><br />

<strong>City</strong> that:<br />

1. The <strong>City</strong> of <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> is hereby authoried to enter into a Basic Agreement with the<br />

Nort <strong>Jersey</strong> Transporttion Planing Authority and New <strong>Jersey</strong> Institute of Technology; and<br />

2. The Mayor and/or Business Administrtor are authorized to accept this Basic Agreement<br />

and to tae such other steps as may. be necessa to effectuate the purpose of this resolution.<br />
