TITLE:
RESOLUTION OF TH JERSEY CITY MUCIPAL COUNCIL AUTORIING
ACCEPTANCE OF A GRA FROM TH NORTH JERSEY TRASPORTATION
PLAG AUTORI'S FISCAL YEAR 2012- 2013 SUBREGIONAL STUY PROGRA
FOR THE LmERTY STATE PAR CIRCULATOR COST-BENEFIT ANALYSIS
COUNCIL AS A WHOLE OFFERED AN MOVED ADOPTION OF TH FOLLOWIG
RESOLUTION:
WHREAS, the Nort Jersey Trasporttion Planing Authority has solicited proposals for the
FiscalV ears 2012-20 13 Subregional Study Program; and
WHREAS, Jersey City is eligible to apply f~r funding under the FY 2012-2013 Subregional.
Study Program; and .
WHREAS, the City has identified the need to pedorm a cost benefit analysis of mass tranit
circulator options in and near Libert State Park; and
WHREAS, it has been determined that this project would benefit the citizens of Jersey City as
well as the nortern New Jersey region; and
WHREAS, the NJTPA has awarded the City ofJersey City a FY 2012-2013 Subregional Study
Program grant in the amount of$l 76,000;
BElT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the City. of Jersey City does hereby authorize the
execution of a contract for the receipt of such a grant from the Nort Jersey Tranporttion
Planing Authority and does furter, upon the execution of such a contract, authorize the
expenditue of such fuds pursuant to the terms of said contract between the City of Jersey City
and the Nort Jersey Trasporttion Planing Authority. .
BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and/or Business Administator are authorized
to sign the application and that they or their successors in said titles are authorized to sign the
contract and any other documents necessar in connection therewith.
