RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A. SHARED SERVICES AGREEMENT<br />

PURSUANT TO THE lJIFORM SHAD SERVICES CONSOLIDATION<br />

ACT, N.J.S.A. 40A:65-1 ET SEQ., PERMITTING TIl JERSEY CITY<br />

PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO. OPERATE A FOOD AND BEVERAGE<br />

CONCESSION STAND AT THE LAFAYETTE POOL COMPLEX<br />

WHREAS, the Uniform Shared Services Consolidation Act, N.J.S.A. 40A:65-1 ~gm., authorizes<br />

agreements between a muncipality and a school distrct to provide services to each other; and<br />

WHEREAS, the <strong>City</strong> of <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> (<strong>City</strong>) is the owner of the Latàyette Pool Complex located at<br />

395 Johnston Avenue; and<br />

WHEREAS, the Lafayette Pool Complex includes a food and beverage coi:cessionstand; and<br />

WHEREAS, the <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> Public Schools (School District) has offered to operate the food and<br />

beverage cimcession stand at the Lafayette Pool Complex; and<br />

WHEREAS, no money will be exchanged between the <strong>City</strong> and the School District in connection<br />

with the operation of the concession stad; and<br />

WHEREAS, the <strong>City</strong> and the School Distrct desire to enter into a Shared Services Agreement that<br />

will permt the School District to operate the concessionstand at theLafayette Pool Complex; and<br />

WHEREAS, the term ofLlie Shared Services Agreement shall be. effective as of July 1,2011 and<br />

shall expire on September 5, 2011. .<br />

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the MuncipalCounciì of the <strong>City</strong> of Jeisey <strong>City</strong><br />

that:<br />

1. The Mayor or Business Administrator is hereby auth..)fized to execute a Shared Services<br />

Agreement with the Board of Education of the School District of <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> relating 10 the<br />

operation of the food and beverage concession stand at tilç Lafayette Pool Compiex subject<br />

to the following minium terms and conditions:, . .<br />

a. The term of the Agreement shall be effective as of July 1, 201l and shall end on<br />

September S, 2011.<br />

b. no money will be exchanged between the <strong>City</strong> and die School Distrct in colmecüon<br />

with the operation ofthe concession stand.<br />

2. The Shared Services Agreement shalibe in substantially the form attache.J, subject to such<br />

moditications as the Corporation Counsel or the Bmüness Adrninistrator deems necessary<br />

or appropriate; and ..<br />
