RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH
LET'S THINK WIRLESS FOR THE SUPPORT
OF PROPRITARY COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
COUNCIL offered and moved adoption of the following resolution:
WHEREAS, funds must be alocated for the maintenance ofthe City's private licensed Wireless
Wide Area PC Network, comprised of telecommunications hardware and software system; and
WHEREAS, LET'S THINK WIRELESS has agreed to provide the maitenance goods and
servces specified as necessar by the Division ofInformation Technology; and .
WHEREAS, the City of Jersey City has received a proposal from LET'S THINK WIRELESS
in the total amount for a one year period of $62,377.20 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Purchasing Agent has certified that he considers said proposal to be fair
and reasonable; and
WHEREAS, funds are avaiable for this contract in the following account:
Administration!Division of Information Technology
Acct. No. 1-201-31-435-314 AMT. $62,377.20
WHEREAS, LET'S THINK WIRELESS has co.mpleted and submitted a Business Entity
Disclosure Certification which certifies that LET'S THINK WIRELESS has not made any
reportable contnbutions to the political or candidate commttees listed in the Business Entity
Disclosure Certification in the prèvhus one year (2005contributions are exempt), and that the
contract will prohibit LET'S THINK WIRELESS from making any reportable contnbutions
durig the term of the contract; and
WHEREAS, LET'S THINK WIRELESS has submitted a Chapter 271 Political Contnbution
Disclosure Certification at least 10 days prior to the award of thi contract; and
. WHEREAS, the City is acquirg these services directly and openy as a statutoriy permtted
contract pursuant to the proviions ofN.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 (Pay-to-Play Law); and
WHEREAS, Robert Magro, the City's IT Director, has detered and certified in writing that
the value ofthe contract wil exceed $17,500; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-5(1 )dd authories the City to award a contract if said contract is
for goods or services to support or maitairproprietar computer hardware and software already
owned by the City.
