TITLE: RESOLUTION AWARDING AN EMERGENCY CONTRACT TO
HALTON SERVICES, FOR VARIOUS FENCE WORK AT THE
LAFAYETTE POOL COMPLEX FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC WORK, DIVISION OF ARCHITECTURE

WHEREAS, fuds are available for this expenditure from Capital Account indicated below:
04-215-55-208-990 P.O. No. 103456 $18,450.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Municipal Council of the City of Jersey
City that:
1. Because of the above stated reasons which are incorporated herein and because of the
reasons stated in the attched certification signed by the Director of the Deparent
of Public Works, the award of an emergency contract to Hamilton Services, LLC.
made pursuant to N.J.S:A. 40A: 1 i -6 to perform corrective fence work at the Lafayette
Pool Complex is hereby ratified;
2. The City Purchasing Agent is directed to have the necessar contract drawn up and
executed;
3. The Mayor or Business Administrator is hereby authorized to execute a contract in the
amount of$18,450.00 with Hamilton Services, LLC. to repair fencing at the Lafayette
Pool Complex;
4. The award of this agreement shall be subject to the condition that the contractor
provide satisfactory evidence of compliance with the Affrmative Action amendments
to. the Law Against Discrimination. N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et-seq.; and
5 The Business Entity Disclosure Certification, Chapter 271 Political Contribution
Disclosure Certification, Certification of Compliance with the City's Contractor Payto-Play
Reform Ordinance, and the Determination of Value Certification attched
hereto and incorporated herein by reference shall be placed on file with this resolution.
