MEDICAL RESPONSE SYSTEM FISCAL YEAR 2010 GRA PROGRA
AWAR FROM THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY OFFICE OF HOMELAN
SECUR AN PREPARDNESS

WHREAS, the State ofNew Jersey, Offce of Homeland Securty and Preparedness (NJ OHS&P),
has provided to the Jery City Deparent of Fire and Emergency Services, though the
Metropolita Medical Response System (M) Grt Progr, the amount of$3 1 7,419.00; and
WHREAS, ths fudig source will support the goals of matag the City of Jersey City's
readness and rapid response with the Metropolita Medca Respons Sysem (M) gudelies,
and as the cooperative effort with representatives of the Urban Areas Securty Intiative (UAS!)
region and the State of New Jersey State Police Offce of Emergency Management and Offce of
Homeland Securty and Preparedess to better prepare and equip the City of Jersey City's readiness
durg a natu or man made disater; and
WHREAS, the Fire Deparent of Jersey City desires to accept the fudig to address major
intiatives regardig Homeland Securty and public saety issues; and
WHREAS, ths project has been active since October 30, 2009; and
NOW, THREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Muncipal Council of the City of Jersey
City that:
1. Jerrah T. Healy, Mayor of Jersey City and/or John Kelly, BusinesS Admnistrator of
Jersey City, are hereby authoried to execute a contract and/or grt ageement with the
New Jersey Offce of Homeland Securty and Preparedness; and
2. The Offce of Management and Budget is authoried to estlish an account in the
amount of $3 1 7,419.00 for the Jersey City Metropolita Medca Response System Grt
Progr.
