This Agreement is made as òf the day of
SHARED SERVICES AGREEMENT

between the CITY OF JERSEY CITY ("Jersey City" or "the City"), a Municipal
Corporation of the State of New Jersey; with offices at City Hall, 280 Grove
Street, Jersey City, New Jersey 07302, and the JERSEY CITY pARKING
AUTHORITY ("Parking Authority'), a public corporation of the State of New
Jersey, with offces at 392-394.Central Avenue, Jersey City, New Jersey 07307,
Recitals
Whereas, the State Uniform' Shared Services and Consolidation Act, N.J.S.A.
40A:65-1 et seq., was enacted to effectuate agreements between/ocal unitsfor
any service or circumstance intended to reduce property taxes through the
reduction of local expenses;
Whereas, the City, has by way of ordinance designated the Parking Authority to
perform various parking related services for the City; and

'Whereas, the parties desire to enter into an agreement where the Jersey City
Police Department shall provide the use of their liceliseplate recognition in an
effort to uncoVer parking scoffaw violators for the Jersey City Parking Authority;
Whereas, in the Parking Authority shall provide vehicle immobilization devices to
the JCPDtobe used by them during hours that the Jersey City Parking Authority.
is not in operation.. ,
Whereas,. no payment will be. exchanged and consideration shall be the in-kind
services to be provided by the Parking Authority and the City; and

Now, therefore, in consideration of the ,promises and the mutual covenants,
. agreements, terms and cQnditions sot forth in this agreement and in the
Resolution, as well as the undertakings of each party to the other, the parties
hereto each binding itself, its successors and assigns, do mutually covenant,
