6.8 Mobile Remote Payment Transactions<br />

6.7.2 PIN Validation<br />

Issuers are strongly recommended to establish Stand-In Processing Service<br />

PIN validation with the Corporation.<br />

Issuers that are mandated to use the Stand-In Processing Service have one<br />

(1) month before the commencement of Stand-In Processing Services to<br />

establish PIN validation with the Corporation. Failure to establish PIN validation<br />

services with the Corporation within the prescribed time frame will result in the<br />

implementation of Stand-In Processing Service without PIN validation.<br />

Issuers may request that the Corporation forgo Stand-In Processing Service<br />

PIN validation.<br />

For additional information, refer to the applicable technical specifications<br />

manual.<br />

6.8 Mobile Remote Payment Transactions<br />

The Standards in this Rule 6.8 apply in countries where Mobile Remote Payment<br />

Transactions are supported. The applicability of these Standards in a country<br />

will be announced in a regional and/or country-specific bulletin.<br />

6.8.1 Issuer Domain Mobile Remote Payment Transactions<br />

Issuers that permit their Cardholders to perform Mobile Remote Payment<br />

Transactions must register with the Corporation. Refer to the Mobile Remote<br />

Payments Program Guide for additional information.<br />

An Issuer may use a Service Manager to provide Mobile Remote Payment<br />

Program Service. Issuers using a Service Manager to participate in a Mobile<br />

Remote Payment Program must ensure the Service Manager complies with all<br />

applicable Standards, including the branding requirements and the security<br />

requirements and guidelines for Mobile Remote Payment. Refer to the Mobile<br />

Remote Payments Program Guide for additional information.<br />

The Issuer must register each Service Manager proposed to provide Mobile<br />

Remote Payment Program Service as a Third Party Processor, as set forth in Rule<br />

14.6 of this rulebook.<br />

A Mobile Remote Payment Transaction must not be effected using <strong>Maestro</strong><br />

PayPass contactless payment functionality.<br />

6.8.2 Issuer Responsibilities<br />

Issuers that offer Issuer Domain Mobile Remote Payment Transaction programs<br />

must:<br />

1. Provide Cardholders that want to participate in Issuer Domain Mobile<br />

Remote Payment Transactions with a PAN between thirteen (13) to nineteen<br />
