7.6 Acquiring <strong>MasterCard</strong> MoneySend Payment Transactions<br />

With respect to an interregional Payment Transaction involving a Europe region>><br />

Acquirer and an Issuer located in another region, if the Acquirer does not<br />

submit a clearing message to the Interchange System within seven (7) days of<br />

the authorization request, the Corporation will collect the Payment Transaction<br />

amount and any additional fees charged from the Acquirer by means of a Fee<br />

Collection/1740 message.<br />

7.6 Acquiring <strong>MasterCard</strong> MoneySend Payment >><br />

Transactions<br />

The following rule variations apply for domestic <strong>MasterCard</strong> MoneySend<br />

Payment Transactions in Russia.<br />

Cash and any type of anonymous prepaid card, e-wallet or other anonymous<br />

funding source may be used as the source of funding for a <strong>MasterCard</strong><br />

MoneySend Payment Transaction, provided that the Transaction amount does<br />

not exceed RUB 15,000. The Transaction may be completed face-to-face,<br />

at any unattended POI Terminal capable of processing the Transaction or<br />

non–face-to-face. It is not required to verify the sender’s identity.<br />

Originating institutions must report on the number and financial value of<br />

anonymously funded and cash-funded <strong>MasterCard</strong> MoneySend Payment<br />

Transactions. The report must be sent on a quarterly basis to the local<br />

<strong>MasterCard</strong> representative for the originating institution.<br />

7.9 POS Terminal and Terminal Requirements<br />

In addition to the <strong>Rules</strong> in Chapter 7, “Acquiring,” Rule 7.9 in part 1 of this<br />

rulebook, the following apply:<br />

Each Acquirer decides on the suppliers, manufacturers, and model of each<br />

type of POS Terminal that it supports.<br />

The storage of a negative file is not required.<br />

For POS Terminals, it is recommended that screen messages, particularly<br />

at unattended POS Terminals, be available in three Cardholder selectable<br />

languages (English, French and German), plus the local language.<br />

Terminals must offer customer prompts in English as well as in the local<br />

language. French and German must also be available whenever technically<br />

feasible. It is recommended that Spanish and Italian be offered as well. The<br />

selection of the language should be determined by the customer. Simultaneous<br />

display in two or more languages is allowed.<br />
