1.7 Termination of License<br />

1.7 Termination of License<br />

A Customer License may terminate in one of two ways: voluntary termination<br />

and termination by the Corporation. Rights, liabilities and obligations of<br />

terminated Customers are set forth in Rule 1.7.4 of this rulebook.<br />

1.7.1 Voluntary Termination<br />

1.7.1.1 Principal<br />

A Principal may voluntarily terminate its License.<br />

In order to voluntarily terminate its License, the Customer must give written<br />

notice addressed to the Secretary of this Corporation by registered or certified<br />

mail, return receipt requested, or by personal or reputable courier service.<br />

The notice must:<br />

1. State that the notice is a notice of termination;<br />

2. Be received by the Secretary;<br />

3. Fix a date on which the termination will be effective, which must be at least<br />

one (1) year after the notice is received by the Secretary; and<br />

4. Be otherwise in the form as may be required from time to time by the<br />

Corporation.<br />

1.7.1.2 Affiliate<br />

An Affiliate must give, through its Sponsoring Principal, at least six (6)<br />

months prior written notice to the Corporation of its intent to withdraw from<br />

participation in the Corporation unless the Corporation approves a shorter<br />

period.<br />

A Principal that Sponsors a withdrawing Affiliate is responsible for notifying the<br />

Corporation of the Affiliate’s compliance with the <strong>Rules</strong>.<br />
