1.1 Types of Customers<br />

A Transaction completed using a Card issued in a country covered by Section<br />

17b at a POI Terminal located in a country covered by Section 17b.<br />

<strong>Maestro</strong> PayPass<br />

<strong>Maestro</strong>® PayPass is a contactless payment functionality that uses radio<br />

frequency (“RF”) technology to exchange Transaction data between a Chip Card<br />

and a RF-enabled POS Terminal that bears the <strong>Maestro</strong> PayPass logo.<br />

Mail Order Transaction<br />

A non-face-to-face POS Transaction where the Cardholder provides a written<br />

Cardholder authority.<br />

SEPA Cards Framework (SCF)<br />

The SEPA Cards Framework as published by the European Payments Council,<br />

as it may be amended from time to time.<br />

Service Fee<br />

Fee paid by the issuer to the acquirer for the service provided in relation to an<br />

ATM or PIN-based in-branch Transaction.<br />

Telephone Order Transaction<br />

A non–face-to-face POS Transaction where the Cardholder provides a<br />

Cardholder authority through the telephone system.<br />

UK SFD Regulations<br />

The UK Financial Markets and Insolvency (Settlement Finality) Regulations 1999.>><br />

Volume<br />

The financial value of a group of Transactions, as opposed to the number<br />

of Transactions.<br />
