10.7 Interchange and Service Fees<br />

2. the Bank of England;<br />

3. any relevant office holder (as defined in the UK SFD Regulations); and<br />

4. any authority, body or person having responsibility for any matter arising<br />

out of, or connected with, the default of a Customer.<br />

10.2.4.2 Provision of Information >><br />

For the purposes of the UK SFD Regulations, each Europe Region Customer<br />

must (except if such request is frivolous or vexatious) provide to any interested<br />

person who requests it, within 14 days of such request and upon payment by<br />

such a person of a reasonable charge:<br />

1. details of the systems which are designated for the purposes of the<br />

Settlement Finality Directive in which such Customer participates; and<br />

2. information about the main rules governing the functioning of such systems.<br />

10.2.4.3 Notification of Winding Up Resolution or Trust Deed >><br />

For the purposes of the UK SFD Regulations, each Europe Region Customer<br />

must:<br />

1. upon the passing of a creditor’s voluntary winding up resolution (or<br />

analogous procedure in the jurisdiction of incorporation of such Customer)<br />

in respect of that Customer; or<br />

2. upon a trust deed granted by the Customer becoming a protected trust deed.<br />

notify the Corporation and the Bank of England that such a resolution (or<br />

analogous procedure) has been passed or that such a trust deed has become a<br />

protected trust deed, as the case may be.<br />

10.7 Interchange and Service Fees >><br />

The following additional Rule applies in the Europe Region:<br />

Acquirers must submit Transactions completed at Merchants with the<br />

interchange rate designator for the lowest fee tier applicable to them.<br />

10.11 Customer Insolvency and Settlement Liability<br />

In addition to the <strong>Rules</strong> in Chapter 10, “Settlement and Reconciliation,” in part 1<br />

of this rulebook, the following apply:<br />

Customers must at all times comply with the policy presented in <strong>MasterCard</strong><br />

Customer Risk Management—A Quick Glance.<br />
