6.3 Optional Card Security Features<br />

The following replaces Chapter 6, “Issuing,” Rule 6.2.2 (3) in part 1 of this<br />

rulebook:<br />

1. It is strongly recommended that an Issuer customer service phone number<br />

be printed on the Card back.<br />

2. The PAN on Chip-only Cards, as described in Rule 5.7 of this Chapter 17,<br />

must not be embossed.<br />

Area <strong>Rules</strong>,” of this rulebook.<br />

6.2.3 Chip Card Standards<br />

Any Chip Card, except for Chip Cards that support online-only authorization,<br />

issued on or after 1 January 2011:<br />

1. Must support offline DDA CAM;<br />

2. Must not support offline SDA CAM.<br />

3. Chip Cards may support offline CDA CAM.<br />

6.2.3.4 Chip Card and Chip Transaction Plans<br />

Customers must provide to the Corporation the following information on their<br />

plans to issue Chip Cards or acquire chip Transactions or both:<br />

1. Number of Chip Cards; and<br />

2. Number of hybrid POS Terminals and Terminals.<br />
