4.6 Display of the Marks at POI Terminals<br />

and Chapter 20, “United States Region,” of this rulebook.<br />

A Customer must display the Marks in accordance with the <strong>Rules</strong>, and the<br />

regulations, policies and Identity Standards of the Corporation as may be<br />

published from time to time, within thirty (30) calendar days of the POI<br />

Terminal’s first Transaction.<br />

A Customer must not display signage in a false, deceptive or misleading manner.<br />

All signage used by a Customer with respect to the Marks must comply with all<br />

applicable laws, <strong>Rules</strong>, and the regulations, policies, and Identity Standards of<br />

the Corporation.<br />

The Marks may not be placed on or near, or otherwise used to identify any POS<br />

Terminal, which does not accept Cards.<br />

The Corporation may permit or prohibit the display of the logo of a Competing<br />

EFT POS Network at POS Terminals.<br />

4.6.1 New and Replacement Signage<br />

All new and replacement signage, other than signage used to comply with<br />

Rule 4.5 of this rulebook, referring to POI Terminals that participate in the<br />

Corporation must comply with this Rule 4.6.1. On any new or replacement<br />

signage incorporating the marks of a competing network, the corresponding<br />

Marks must appear and be given at least equal prominence. The Marks must be<br />

at least as large as the marks of any competing network.<br />

4.6.2 ATM Signage System<br />

4.7 Digital Wallets<br />

The <strong>MasterCard</strong>, <strong>Maestro</strong>, and Cirrus brands must be displayed on an ATM. The<br />

Corporation’s interlocking circles signage system is employed when one or more<br />

brands using the <strong>MasterCard</strong> interlocking circles device is accepted at a point of<br />

interaction. The system requires the consecutive vertical or horizontal display<br />

of the brand Marks in the following sequence—<strong>MasterCard</strong>, <strong>Maestro</strong>, Cirrus.<br />

Third-party wallet developers must enter into a License agreement with the<br />

Corporation in order to use the Marks.<br />
