9.2 POS Transaction Types<br />

Whenever an Acquirer identifies an error in the presentment of a<br />

Transaction, it must generate a reversal. There is no time limit for the<br />

Acquirer to issue a reversal, and either a full or a partial reversal may be<br />

generated, as applicable.<br />

If a full reversal is received before the clearing record for the Transaction<br />

has been forwarded to the clearing file, the Transaction will not be included<br />

in the clearing file.<br />

If a partial reversal is received before the clearing record for the Transaction<br />

has been forwarded to the clearing file, the Transaction will be presented<br />

with the correct resulting Transaction amount.<br />

Effective 17 April 2015, the Acquirer of a Merchant located in Italy identified>><br />

under an MCC listed in the table below must support full and partial<br />

reversals performed at the POI and whenever, for technical reasons, the<br />

Acquirer is unable to communicate the authorization response to the<br />

Merchant, for all prepaid Card account ranges: >><br />

3. Partial approval.<br />

Effective 11 April 2014, Acquirers must support partial approval for<br />

Merchants located in the United Kingdom and identified with MCC 5542<br />

(Fuel Dispenser, Automated), or with an MCC listed in the table below with<br />

respect to Transactions conducted at attended POS Terminals.<br />
