It is aresult of the work presented in the subject “Outline of AnglophoneLiterature” to Letras students of the third semester and it hastaken place at the Universi<strong>da</strong>de Federal do Pará (UFPA) in Cametá– Pará campus. It emphasizes the importance of virtual interactionand virtual aids to the development of a nice atmosphere insidethe classroom. The purpose of linking Literature and Technologyis make teachers and students aware of which resources areavailable to promote a more attractive and more meaningful class.Virtual resources as Youtube and Teachertube videos, audio books,power point presentations and webpages that deal with theAnglophone Literature topic and that were available on the internetwill be presented. All these resources were applied to differentLiterature styles presented in the subject. During the subjectstudents had the opportunity to watch and listen to some of theauthors’ main works (as Hemingway, Edgar A. Poe, Oscar Wildeand so on). Students were also recquired to follow some assessmentactivities that were presented on the website developed by LiliaRocha and Marcela Amaral at the Specialization in LinguisticsApplied to the Teaching of English Language Course at UFPA.This webpage contains some quizzes developed with the use ofHot Potatoes, videos and texts related to the studied topic.New Technologies in EFL as a tool to teach AmericanLiteratureAna Lilia Carvalho Rocha (FIBRA/UFPA)This communication focuses on the teaching project presente<strong>da</strong>s the final paper of the Specialization in Linguistics Applied tothe Teaching of English Language Course held at the Universi<strong>da</strong>deFederal do Pará (UFPA). The project was developed as an attemptto use new technologies in EFL as a tool to teach American Literature.The project was applied for EFL students of Letras Licenciaturain English at UFPA.
