Tables 14.24.1 and 14.24.2 give the reported releases and transfers <strong>of</strong> solvent data for<br />

the US pulp and paper industry. If not for the emissions <strong>of</strong> methanol and chlor<strong>of</strong>orm the industry<br />

would be a much less serious polluter. It is 7th in VOC contributions and 8th in total<br />

releases and transfers.<br />
