The dependence <strong>of</strong> lnK a and 1/ε for<br />

LiBr in mixed solvent [9.53] shows an influence<br />

<strong>of</strong> solvate-active component on K a. The<br />

difference <strong>of</strong> LiBr solvation energy in the<br />

presence <strong>of</strong> pyridine and acetic acid may be<br />

evaluated in accordance to [9.53], assuming<br />

low solvation energy <strong>of</strong> Li + by propylene<br />

carbonate in comparison with pyridine and<br />

negligible value <strong>of</strong> solvation energy <strong>of</strong> anion<br />

in solvents containing dichlorobenzene<br />

(DCB) and pyridine.<br />

The data presented in Table 9.10 permit<br />

us to calculate the components <strong>of</strong> free energy<br />

for ion association processes. To<br />
