106(110) Commissioning<br />

6 Connect the frequency drive to mains.<br />

7 Set the parameters of group 1 (See the Application <strong>Manual</strong>) according to the<br />

requirements of the application. At least the following parameters should be set:<br />

- motor nominal voltage<br />

- motor nominal frequency<br />

- motor nominal speed<br />

- motor nominal current<br />

The values needed for the parameters are on the motor rating plate.<br />

8 Perform run test without motor<br />

Perform either Test A or Test B:<br />

A Controls from the I/O terminals:<br />

a) Turn the Start/Stop switch to ON position.<br />

b) Change the frequency reference (potentiometer)<br />

c) Check in the Monitoring menu M1 that the value of Output frequency changes<br />

according to the change of frequency reference.<br />

d) Turn the Start/Stop switch to OFF position.<br />

B<br />

Control from the control keypad:<br />

a) Change the control from the I/O terminals to the keypad as advised in Chapter<br />

7.3.3.1.<br />

b) Push the Start button on the keypad .<br />

c) Move over to the Keypad control menu (M3) and Keypad Reference submenu<br />

(Chapter 7.3.3.2) and change the frequency reference using the Browser buttons<br />

d) Check in the Monitoring menu M1 that the value of Output frequency changes<br />

according to the change of frequency reference.<br />

e) Push the Stop button on the keypad<br />

9 Run the start-up tests without the motor being connected to the process, if possible. If<br />

this is not possible, secure the safety of each test prior to running it. Inform co-workers of<br />

the tests.<br />

a) Switch off the supply voltage and wait until the drive has stopped as advised in<br />

Chapter 8.1, step 5.<br />

b) Connect the motor cable to the motor and to the motor cable terminals of the<br />

frequency drive.<br />

c) Ensure that all Start/Stop switches are in Stop positions.<br />
