816IntroductionThe 816 is a programmable Alarm System that can be expanded up to 16zones and is suitable for large domestic premises.The system comprises an end station in a shielded case, and up to fourseparate keypads. The end station provides:° Connections for up to eight Fully Supervised Loop (FSL) or ClosedCircuit zones (selectable during programming). By installing an eightzone 940 Expander card the end station can provide a total of 16zones.° Connections for four outputs, three fully programmable.° Pins for fitting a plug-on communication device. Any device thatcomplies with the Scantronic plug-on footprint can be fitted.The installer can program the system from the keypads, which provide a 32character Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) giving plain text responses to commands.The programming interface is arranged into a set of numberedmenus that lead the installer through the installation process.The 816 software provides a flexible installation that can meet many differentneeds. A system can be partitioned by installer programming so that it canprovide two sub- Alarm Systems using one set of hardware. The 816 canprovide for up to 16 identified users, and each user can be limited to specificparts of the system. The 816 allows users to set the system to four differentsecurity Levels (for example, full set and three part sets) which can beprogrammed by the installer.
