95EN, 85EN, 65EN12Vdc Auxiliary Power TerminalsYou can use the terminal block in the bottom-left corner of the control panelPCB to power devices such as PIR detectors. The terminals provide 12Vdc(protected by a polyfuse). Refer to page 3 for power availability.Back Tamper ConnectorThe BACK TAMPER connector should be wired to the "back tamper switch",which is mounted on a plate that slides into slots shown in Figure 4. Theswitch enables the system to generate a tamper alarm if the lid of the controlpanel is removed or if the control panel is removed from the wall.Factory Restart ConnectorIf the pins of the FACTORY RESTART connector are shorted during powerup,all system parameters are reset to their factory default settings, includingthe engineer passcode, as documented in the 95 Engineering <strong>Manual</strong>.Ensure that the terminals remain shorted until the heartbeat LED (LED1)flashes.Momentarily shorting the terminals with power already applied defaults onlythe engineer passcodeSerial Printer ConnectorConnect tocontrol panelRS232 DataSerial printer(e.g. DATAC)Figure 25. Using a PrinterThe SERIAL PRINTER connector enables a serial (RS232) printer to beconnected directly to the control panel, such as a DATAC printer (partnumber 947UK-00). Connection details are shown in Figure 26.The printer can, for example, be used to:• Produce a hardcopy record of system programming details.• Print logged events. The system can be configured to enable onlineprinting, where logged events are automatically printed as they occur.The printer must be set up with the following communication settings: 4800baud, eight data bits, one stop bit, one start bit, no parity and DTR normal.35 of 72
