545545 Radio Strength MonitorIntroductionThe display consists of ten LEDs in a vertical column. The upper six LEDs(marked 4 to 9) are green and indicate an acceptable signal strength orbattery voltage. The next three LEDs (1 to 3) are red and indicate low signalstrength or battery voltage.Radio Strength Monitor ControlsThe right hand control switch switches the unit on or off and controls theinformation shown on the LED display:OffSwitches off the Radio Strength Monitor.Batt TestTrackPeak HoldDisplays the battery voltage of the signal strengthmonitor in bargraph form. (Does not display batterystrength of the transmitter.) A good battery gives areading of 6 or higher.The normal operating mode. The display constantlytracks the current signal strength.The display constantly monitors and then holds thehighest reading since PEAK HOLD was selected.To reset the display from the held position momentarilyselect Track. Note that the display holds thepeak level until the Radio Strength Monitor isswitched off, or until you turn the left hand controlswitch to any other position.The left hand control switch controls the internal loudspeaker as follows:ToneThe monitor gives a continuous tone whose pitchchanges according to the strength of the signalreceived.
