770rCommissioningTo operate as an output module you must connect the outputs from theModule to the appropriate devices, and teach the Module the identity of thetransmitter(s).1. Set dipswitch 8 to ON if you wish the sounder to indicate receivedtransmissions.2. Enter programming mode, and use menu 7 to select mode 2.3. Use menu 1 to learn the identity of any other transmitters you wish touse.4. Leave programming mode.5. If using a 7500r control unit, make the 7500r learn the identity of theModule (see page 22).6. Remove all power from the Module.7. Connect outputs as required, see “Unit Connection - Outputs”.8. Place jumpers to select output polarity, see “Unit Connection - Outputs”.9. Re-apply power to the Module.10. Use Menu 5 to select the output mode (normally open or normallyclosed).Mode 4 - Sounder ReceiverIntroductionIn this mode the Module becomes a radio adapter that allows either a 7500rcontrol unit, or another Module acting as a sounder transmitter (mode 5), todrive any wired external sounder. If using a 7500r then you must teach the 7500r the Module’s identity (seepage 22).If using another Module as a sounder transmitter (mode 5) then you mustmake the transmitter Module learn the sounder Module’s identity.A 7500r or sounder transmitter can activate the sounder and strobe independentlyby sending signals to the Module. The Module can report backtampers, low battery or other trouble conditions.Note: In mode 4 the 12V power supply will need a battery backup in order tomaintain the 12VDC power to the sounder during a mains failure. (The backupbattery within the Module cannot supply the required current.) CooperSecurity recommend the TSPS1.Issue 1 21 of 30
