Programming for All IDIS Modules1. Follow the programming instructions in the IDIS section of the Installationand Programming <strong>Manual</strong>s for the 840 and 8136 (Menus 20-22).Note: To program the 905 LIM you must have a 12VDC supply connected to it. Donot connect the “Sig” wire when programming this device.2. Plug on the programming lead (molex socket at each end) to the “Prog”pins.Note: Ensure that the BLUE (Sig) lead is located on the pin marked with a star (*).For the 901 module use the programming lead with the crocodile clips atthe end. Make sure the blue clip goes to the purple wire (SIG) and theblack clip goes to the black wire (0V).3. Connect the other end of the lead to the “prog” pins on the IDIS expandercard in the control panel.Note: To program a LIM with three Prog pins from an expander card with only twoProg pins use the 3-way to 2-way Molex lead and connect the flying red wire tothe 12V terminator on the expansion card.4. Program the module with a valid zone number in the range 09: to 40:(840) or 09: to 136: (8136). REMEMBER that the zone numbers arenow the same as the output numbers.5. Remove the programming lead and install the module. Remember toconnect the Sig lead.6. When the installation of all the equipment has been completed, return tothe control panel and program the module with a valid zone type/Area.Refer to Menus 31 and 32 in the Programming section in the manual.NOTE: <strong>Scant</strong>ronic recommend that you give each zone in the module a valid nameand Type, and allocate each zone to the Area in which it physically resides. Ifyou DO NOT want to use any of the zones in the LIM then ensure that they areprogrammed as NOT USED, there is NO need to link them out.7. To program the output(s) refer to Menu 51 in the Programming sectionof the manual.8. Select the correct Output number (remember it is the same as theprogrammed zone number), program the output with ANY type from thelist available. The output can be Programmed, Energised or De-energised,depending on how the installer requires the device connected tooperate.9. Carry out an output test using Menu 04 (the test utility) on the controlpanel.496340 Issue 2 15 of 16
