8841Enter the User programming menu and select Telephone Call – GSM.Dial the appropriate telephone number for registering the SIM card as shownin the instruction leafl ets for the card. (See below.)Note that the control unit cannot support the text message response servicecalls using the * and # keys. You must call the service provider manually andeither register with a human operator, or navigate an automated answeringservice. Once the phone call is established you can use the * and # keys asyou would on a normal phone.The exact details of registering your SIM card differ for each provider.Top Up CardsEach of the service providers listed in the previous instructions supply top upcards with their SIMs. Part of the registration procedure is to link the top upcard with the SIM. The cards contain just enough credit to allow you to makethe registration call. Once you have fi nished this process you will need tosupply more credit to the top up card. You should do this immediately.While registering, make sure that you write the phone number of the GSMmodule down on the top up card.Programming 7510rThe Reporting option in the Installer Menu contains all the options needed toprogram the GSM module. Within the Reporting options, you must pay attentionto the following areas:Primary TelecomsThe menu options:Reporting – Alarms – Primary Telecoms,Reporting – Speech Dialler – Primary TelecomsReporting – SMS Reporting – Primary Telecomsall allow you to choose which communication link the control unit will usefi rst, for each type of reporting. If you select PSTN the control unit will alwaystry to report on the PSTN line fi rst, followed by the GSM module if the PSTNline fails.If you choose Plug On then the control unit will try to use the GSM module toreport fi rst, and use the PSTN line if the GSM module fails.SMS ReportingThe control unit can send alarm reports by SMS message to any of four telephonenumbers.
