IDISIntroductionThe Individual Detector Identification System (IDIS) is a three-wire busconnection method used by 840 and 8136 control panels. Using IDIS wiringreduces the amount of cabling required to connect detectors to the controlpanels. Scantronic supply a range of detectors and interface modules thatyou can connect to IDIS wiring.IDIS DetectorsIDIS detectors are based on other Scantronic non-IDIS units. The onlydifference between IDIS and conventional detectors is the connectionmethod.
