Introduction908 IDIS LIM INSTALLATIONThe 908EUR-00 IDIS Line Interface Module (LIM) provides up to eight zonesand eight transistorised programmable outputs. Each individual zone can beeither four-wire closed circuit or two-wire Fully Supervised Loop (FSL).The module can be configured to provide two, five, or eight zones/outputs bymeans of jumper pins. The 908-10 part is supplied as a circuit board only,with contacts for an external tamper switch. The 908-00 part is supplied in aplastic case, with integral tamper switch.SpecificationDimensionshxwxd = 183x128x31mm (Enclosure)hxw = 125x85mm (pcb)Quiescent Current:35mAO/pCurrent:8 Open collector transistors rated at 100mAeach output @ 12 volts DCTotal Current:500mA max from all 8 o/p’s.InputsEither:8 closed circuit four wire zones (alarm andtamper)OR:8 FSL two wire loops.FSL circuits+/- 10% toleranceCC loops1,500 Ohms maxProgramming Notes for 908Program the module with a valid zone number in the range 09: to 136: . If yougive the first LIM zone number 09, then the control panel gives the followingzones numbers:9 and 10 for a two zone LIM9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 for a five zone LIM9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 for an eight zone LIM.There is no need to program these zone numbers. REMEMBER that thezone numbers are now the same as the output numbers.Notes:1. On an 8136 the IDIS zone number range is divided into four “loops” of 32zones each: 9-40, 41-72, 73-104 and 105 to 136. If you make the first zonenumber of a LIM too close to the upper end of a loop range then the 8136 willignore one or more of the LIM zones.
