24.4 Time <strong>and</strong> Dates24.4.1 TimeYou may use the abbreviations a.m. (ante meridiem, or be<strong>for</strong>e noon) <strong>and</strong> p.m. (post meridiem,or after noon) in text <strong>and</strong> elsewhere to designate specific times. The abbreviations should belowercase, in roman type, with no intervening space. Do not combine them with in themorning, in the evening, or o'clock; see also 23.1.5.24.4.2 Days <strong>and</strong> MonthsIn text, spell out <strong>and</strong> capitalize the names <strong>of</strong> days <strong>of</strong> the week <strong>and</strong> months <strong>of</strong> the year; see also23.3.1.
