"OA cic X)AnAinne, i. e. the two Paps of Danann.
Two mountains in the barony of IMagunihy,
and county of Kerry, called the Eastern and
Western Pap. The Eastern Pap is situ.ited in
the boundary of Gortdarrig, and divides the
parishes of Killaha and Kilcnmming; the
Western Pap is on the boundary of the to-wnland
of Gortacreen, and divides the parishes
of Killaha and Kilcummin East. Both are
nearly of equal height, are very round, and
appear very beautiful at some distance, and
both have small heaps of stones on the very
summits, intended evidently to represent the
nipples of the paps. The base on which they
stand is called bun a oa cic, basis duarum
mammarurn.
