MaxSea Operator Manual version 12.6 Plotting areas Select Area from the mark type selection box. The pattern selection box in the lower left-hand corner of the selection boxes is now available (it replaces the line thickness box). Click it to call up the pop-up menu and select the pattern that you wish to use to fill the area. Proceed exactly as in the above paragraph for plotting a line. After double clicking to close, the area is closed and colored with the pattern selected. In order to plot a circular area, select Circle (instead of Area) from the mark type selection box. Click the chart, then drag the mouse and release the mouse button to define the radius of the circle. Note that the circle is colored with the pattern selected. 116 Note: if you click the chart and do not hold the mouse button down, the software displays the dialog box where you can enter the circle radius value manually.
User's Data You can either display a complete circle or a sector of a circle. To display a sector enter the value of the starting angle and the value of the arc in the dialog box. Line distance or area calculation display You can get information about coordinate of one point situated on a line or about an area calculation. Coordinate of one point which belongs to a line 1. left-click on a line section with the Finger tool 2. hold the mouse button down. The software displays the selected coordinate point.
