Import scale Before activating the PBG function, you have to select a scale for importing data (see "How to configure PBG options"). It indicates the precision of the grid on which data will be inserted. Please pay attention to the following: Data values will be available from the scale selected up to higher scales, but be careful. If you choose a level which is too high to import data, your disk will fill up quickly. If you choose the "Very High Resolution Bottom Analysis", MaxSea will display a Dialog box to warn you. Filter
Seabed Analysis No echo sounder is 100% accurate, and echo sounder may send false depth values from time to time. If those values are imported, the 3D database will not be accurate. I Select the range of sounding values that will be inserted in the database to enhance it. It is a % value that is explained in the example below. Example: you choose 20% and import data in a zone where previous sounding values were 100 meters. All data in the range 80 – 120 meters will be inserted to correct your data base; the other ones will be rejected. Echo sounder Choose an immersion value for your Echo Sounder head in case it is not self compensating. It is also important to correct the x,y horizontal offset according to its location in relation to your GPS receiver (positioner). 291
