Then choose [New Search and Rescue Route..] from the [Route] menu<br />

<strong>MaxSea</strong> then displays a dialog box which allows you to choose:<br />

Active Route<br />

1. direction of parallel lines generation by checking the corresponding box (clockwise or counterclockwise),<br />

2. line number that you wish generate,<br />

3. distance between 2 lines,<br />

4. Click OK and a planning route consisting of parallel lines is displayed on the chart.<br />

This is an example of SAR done with direction = 90° clockwise and lines = 5 in dialog box.<br />

If you wish, you can activate this route by selecting [Activate route] from the [Route] menu.<br />

Automatic pilot connection<br />

In this chapter, you have discovered how the software offers the helmsman all the assistance possible to ensure that he<br />

follows the course correctly.<br />

If your computer is connected to an autopilot, you can control this from the software:<br />

If you want the software to control the Autopilot, you first have to configure the Input/Output.<br />

To do so, select [Data Input/Output Settings] from [Utilities] menu.<br />

The dialog box is opened and allows you to configure the autopilot.<br />
