Echogram The NavNet Echogram overlay in the Depth Profile Windows can be done only if a NavNet System is connected. "NO SWEEP" message appears in the top-left corner of Depth Profile window when no sweep received for 10 seconds A limit case is that if using 3000m range, an echo may take 4 seconds to delay in its propagation. Note that horizontal blue lines delimit Echo Sounder Range. You may choose a display mode for the echogram between three : Manual / Cruising and Fishing modes. The manual mode allows you to adjust the echogram gain level, Range and its view position. For more information see: Sounder Palette MaxSea Mode chosen: 344 1. You can either show or hide the Echogram picture overlay in the Depth profile window. Click the Depth Profile Information arrow on chart toolbar, then choose and click the Echogram option . 2. The Echogram is always displayed in single Frequence either LF or HF depending on your choice. NavNet Mode chosen: 1. The Echogram is always displayed in the Depth Profile when NavNet Mode is chosen. 2. The Echogram in MaxSea matches exactly the Echogram in NavNet and you can choose to display the Depth Profile window either in single or dual frequency mode. • Echoes displayed are depending on the last 1024 sweeps. • Shift/Range/Distance are managed for each sweep.
A-scope Sounder Depth Profile • Colors: one fixed configuration and you can toggle between Day and Night screen display. Independently of the chosen mode you can add A-Scope display in the "Depth Profile" Windows. Show/Hide A-Scope Displayed by default you can show or hide the A-scope by selecting the corresponding item from the DP button pop-up menu A-scope display The A-scope display, available in all modes, shows echoes with amplitudes and tone proportional to their intensities, on the right of the Depth Profile Windows with fixed width. It is useful for estimating fish species and bottom composition. It shows echoes : - at every half a second in distance advance mode. - updated on echo arrival on time advance mode. - using same colors as echo. NavNet Mode MaxSea Mode A-scope is displayed on right in each Depth Profile window and you will get information on: 1. A-scope zone area display 2. Strong echo (bottom) 345
