1. Click on the FTC line to display the Pop-up menu<br />

Radar OVERLAY<br />

2. Adjust the range from 0 to 100% using arrows or modify it directly by entering<br />

the desired percentage value<br />

3. Press [ENTER] to validate.<br />

Note : Do not overadjust the FTC weak target echoes may be<br />

missed.<br />

Note:Available with Model 1700 series radar. Inoperative otherwise.<br />

To suppress rain clutter from heavy storms or scattered rain clutter, adjust the FTC.<br />

The FTC splits up these unwanted echoes into a speckled pattern, making<br />

recognition of solid targets easier.<br />

Note: In addition to reducing clutter, the FTC can be used in fine weather to clarify<br />

the picture when navigating in confined waters. However, with the circuit active the<br />

receiver is less sensitive. Therefore, turn off the FTC, by setting it for 0, when its<br />

function is not required.<br />

To adjust the Noise Rejection level:<br />

1. Click on the Noise Rejection line to display the Pop-up menu<br />

2. Choose LOW or HIGH as appropriate or Off for no rejection<br />

3. Press [ENTER] to validate.<br />

Electrical noise, appearing on the screen as speckles, may be suppressed with the<br />

noise rejector.<br />

Note that some forms of interference cannot be suppressed.<br />

The radar receiver can be tuned automatically or manually.<br />

To adjust it from <strong>MaxSea</strong>:<br />

1. Click on the Tune Status line to display the Pop-up menu<br />

2. Choose receiver tuning method Automatic or <strong>Manual</strong><br />

3. Press [ENTER] to validate.<br />

% 0-100 To Adjust the Tune value when working with <strong>Manual</strong> Tune Status:<br />

1. Click on the Tune line to display the Pop-up menu<br />

2. Adjust the range from 0 to 100% using arrows or modify it directly by entering<br />

the desired percentage value<br />

3. Press [ENTER] to validate.<br />

On - Off 1. Check the Box to reject 2nd Echo signal<br />

2. Press [ENTER] to validate.<br />
