Displaying the geographic grid<br />

To display the geographic grid over the chart:<br />

Geographic grid<br />

1. Click on the Grid button in the Chart Toolbar to turn ON/OFF the grid display<br />

2. Go to the menu bar point [Display] and left-click [Option: Display...], for changing the Grid color<br />

• Select a color which is blue by default<br />

• Click "OK" to confirm.<br />

(1) - the Show/Hide function is applied in the active Chart window, in case two windows are opened and you can<br />

decide to display the geographic grid in a window and not in the other one.<br />

(2) - when you are using a specific Hyperbole system, you can display it on the chart (the name of the hyp1<br />

and/or hyp2 checked boxes are replaced to the system name that you are using. In this case the<br />

software allows you to select a display level for each hyperbole system) and the TD Grids is added in<br />

the Grid menu list. When you are not ability to use Hyperbole system this part is not available.<br />

Using contextual menus<br />

<strong>MaxSea</strong> makes extensive use of "contextual menus", which let you access the most useful commands related to the<br />

selected chart with your right mouse button.<br />

To display the chart contextual menu<br />

1 - Position the cursor over the chart any where in the Chart window.<br />

2 - Right-click to bring up the context menu.<br />

3 - All the available items depend of the selected chart format.<br />

The menu lets you access (for both raster and vector charts):<br />

Most common commands and tools (zoom in, zoom out, select scale)<br />

Chart Properties window which supplies information available for the displayed chart.<br />

Most common functions to ADD (waypoint, mark, line etc....)<br />

If the selected chart is a vector chart, the menu also lets you access:<br />

Chart Object properties
