Fleet Tracking, targets displayed on the chart Fleet tracking target symbol Fleet Tracking in MaxSea is shown and displayed as "INSTANT_STDC" mobile. It is always available. The symbol representation of a Fleet tracking target is the same as Buoys target: It works like the others type of mobiles, except that you don't have to change any parameters in the "data input/output settings" dialog box. To show / hide INSTANT_STDC targets, check or uncheck the appropriate box in the Mobiles zone information list (situated in the Chart toolbar). Each time, you will receive a data file stored in the corresponding folder, Std C detect translates data and writes them into POSMAXSEA.mdb database. Then this database is used to display targets on chart and allows you to easily follow up the fleet tracking in MaxSea.
Radar OVERLAY Radar Overlay Overview - This function is included in MaxSea depending on your own software version. Before using it, the hardware installation has to be done. Radar Solutions are an optional add-on to MaxSea which allow users to interface Radar Antenna to the software. MaxSea can display in real time, radar overlay image at any scale on the cartography. It can display as well, targets coming from NavNet Radar or other FURUNO Radar using network for transferring in MaxSea. Each radar is a little different but the basics are the same for each radar. There are three steps required: 1. Connect your system unit to an Ethernet network for transmitting data information to MaxSea. Go to the related chapter to read more on "Installation & Configuration" of Radar equipment. 2. Set up Transmitting data information in your MaxSea software from reading related topics : "Setting Up Data Source Input" and "Setting Up Radar System". 3. The next step is getting started with Radar Overlay in MaxSea. When First running MaxSea the Radar overlay button is turning on by default and the Radar palette settings appears in the chart toolbar. If the Radar is power off, "No Radar Source" warning will appear on the chart. You will learn in this section : 1. Setting up NavNet Radar Overlay in MaxSea 2.
