MaxSea Operator Manual version 12.6 The historic data sample and the prediction curves are drawn inside the trust interval which is drawn in dark green on the graph. The curve drawn in light green, corresponds to the prediction calculated from the historic data sample. The approximations curve is drawn in blue on the graph. In the present example the parameters chosen are: Two types of data to be studied: Study Parameters: 424 TWD (True Wind Direction) data are represented on the first graph with a confidence interval equal to 96 % (curve situated upper into the "Data Trend Center" graph window ) TWS (True Wind Speed) data are represented on the second graph with a confidence interval equal to 94 % (curve situated at the bottom of the graph) "Study Time" duration is defined to 2 hours and 10 minutes (all values put back on the left of the times axis before the arrow are negative values. The arrow indicates the axis zero point of times). "Prediction time" duration is defined to 35 minutes (all values put back on the right of the times axis after the arrow are positive values to the right of the arrow) The arrow situated on the middle of the horizontal bar allows to select a zone to be studied with more precision. (Please, refer to the "Customize paragraph " according to Options of posting " for more information) Remarks In the sampling MaxSea does not store the data which are lower than the minute. MaxSea can be unable to calculate a prediction when several history data from the sample are missing and when this absence does not appear in a evident way on the curve. The prediction curve can start before the "zero" point of the times axis : This will happen in case the received data stop, at this moment MaxSea calculates the prediction from the last successful data. ( Please, refer to the paragraph " Input / Output port configuration" paragraph from the "Connect equipment to MaxSea" chapter to verify your instruments connection)
Customize the display To activate a selection zone on the "Data Trend Center" graph click on the arrow button. Performance Then a selection area is drawn on the graph and allows to zoom in or to zoom out on a very precise part of the curve. In case it's the first time using the "zoom in / zoom out" button: • To select a part of the curve which needs to be study precisely, click on a corner of the selection and drag the mouse held down to the desired size. • Then click again on the arrow to validate the display. Note first using all the curve is selected by default . To change the zoom view on the curve you have to click again on the arrow and the following window appears : the "Arrow" button which allows to activate the zoom in / back zoom out function on the curve. the selection zone which moves as you move the mouse on the curve. To define a new selection on the curve: o By moving the selection on the curve. As the selection moves the upper preview window is updated in a simultaneous way. o By resizing the selection area on the curve. Preview selection zone window.
