Activating Antigrounding Alarm
The Antigrounding alarm warns you when your boat crosses a potential danger as grounding boundaries, buoys and
depth lines which are defined on the chart. (Related topic : List of objects which can be taken as a potential danger )
192
The AntiGrounding function will be activated when
the boat head will crosse objects as :
(1) - Buoys
(2) - Line width sounder
(3) - Ground boundary
By default the Antigrounding Master GPS is un
checked.
When the "Antigounding Master GPS" is selected, both actions are done together, the alarm is activated and the
Antigrounding Dialog is displayed.
The Antigrounding alarm depends to the Cone base width of the Security circle.
You can specify the boundary alarm settings by changing the circle distance size.
Go to the [Utilities menu], choose [Option: GPS/Track] to call up the dialog box which allows you to modify the
parameters.
1. Click on the "Misc" tab.
2. Check the "display" box to show the security circle on the chart.
3. Enter a value of the radius to define the alarm limit (By default the radius circle is equal to 1Nm and the width
of the cone base is equal to 30° ).
All activated Alarms are recorded and displayed in a table which is called "AntiGrounding Dialog"
Note: the Security circle and the cone base (Alarm zone) are displayed on the chart by default.
