GPS on the chart<br />

1 - Click on the Modifying boat position symbol in the Dead Reckoning palette. The "Change Mobile Position"<br />

window appears and now you can choose the boat position.<br />

3 - Choose latitude an longitude values using the pull down menu and then, click OK.<br />

4 - Or center it around middle of the screen by clicking on the "Get chart center coordinates".<br />

Modify the position using the Position modification tool<br />

You can modify the ship position using the Position modification tool , click one of the plotted Ship<br />

icon, then, holding the mouse button down, drag and release the button when the cursor is located<br />

on the new desired position.<br />

During the move a screen tip indicates the new direction and distance calculate from the boat position actual.<br />

Adjusting Dead Reckoning Speed and Heading using the Dead Reckoning palette<br />

To fix the ship COG , or speed<br />

• Click on one of each symbol or to adjust the speed . At this moment the speed data is updated in the<br />

DataNav palette.<br />

• Click on each symbol or to adjust heading (clockwise or counter clockwise). The modified heading<br />

appears above in the DataNav palette.<br />

To turn off the Dead Reckoning function go to the [Utilities] menu and choose [Dead Reckoning] again.<br />
