Chart Window Controls<br />

Configuring your Workspace<br />

In this chapter you will learn how to organize and configure your software to adapt the screen to your requirements as<br />

customizing the screen display, displaying palettes and customizing the palettes display.<br />

The program uses two principal interface concepts that are Context Menus and Keyboard shortcuts.<br />

1. Using Context Menus to get informations or quickly access commands from selected objects.<br />

2. Using Keyboard shortcuts to quickly activate specific functions.<br />

If you are starting the software for the first time, message boxes appear each time you will close a file or when troubles<br />

happen during the use.<br />

1. These message boxes need to be acknowledged by clicking YES. The DON’T SHOW AGAIN box may be<br />

checked so as not to be reminded of this each time you start <strong>MaxSea</strong>.<br />

2. Show / Hide Validation Message boxes at startup.<br />

3. To display again the Confirm Dialog, go to the [Help] menu and choose [Display Hidden Warning...]<br />

Customizing your workspace by:<br />

1. Choosing the Chart Desktop Display<br />

2. Modifying Chart Windows Location<br />

Configuring Display of:<br />

1. Tool Palettes<br />

2. Data Cursor<br />

3. Nav Data<br />

4. Steering data<br />

The Steering data window is automatically displayed when the track on function is activated.<br />

To show or hide the Steering data window go to the [Display] menu and select the [Steering data] item.<br />

5. Show / Hide the Steering display<br />

The Steering display is not shown by default.<br />

To show the Steering display window go to the [Display] menu and select the [Steering display] item.<br />

6. Tide & Current palette<br />

7. Show / Hide Events display<br />

The [Events display] item from the [Display] menu brings up the "Events palette" . This option is available<br />

according to your software configuration.<br />
