The Apply button will activate once you change the parameters. (Your parameter settings will be discarded if you choose not to click the Apply button.) Note: MaxSea accepts decimal numbers for the depth values (.2, .3, etc.). 2D Color Gradient There may be times when you want to change the 2D color gradient - for example when there isn't enough contrast between the 2D display and ship track (which is red by default). To change colors, double-click on the upper left-hand color scale of the 2D palette. The following dialog box appears and gives you five color gradient choices, select one and click on OK.
The configuration is simultaneously applied in the 2D palette and in the chart window. Examples: Example(1): the 2D color gradient is from blue to red and in this example the ship track is not clearly visible. 2D Display Mode Choices There are three available display modes: • Isobathes only: to follow a fault line, 2D Bathymetric Maps Example(2): in this example the ship track appears clearly after you have chosen the blue gradient color. 235
