• All folders inside "My documents"<br />

• All first level folders inside the Hard<br />

Drives or CD drive.<br />

• The Mapmedia CD300/01 (worldwide planning charts) is automatically installed in "My Documents" folder.<br />

• The first time you open the software you will be shown the “Open Chart” window, from which you<br />

can choose under a list the chart you wish to open.<br />

• All of the charts you have installed will be shown to you. To simultaneously open several charts. To<br />

do so, press the Ctrl key while selecting each chart you want to open.<br />

2 - Launch again the automatic opening<br />

• To open a specific chart region (or series of chart regions) go to [File] on the menu bar, and then<br />

click on [Open Chart]. To stop the automatic "Chart search" click the ESC key.<br />

• The "Open chart" window appears and shows all the charts that the software has found.<br />

• Select a chart or several charts (to do so, press the Ctrl key while selecting the charts and click OK.<br />

• The dialog box with the warning about the use of digitized documents appears. Click I AGREE to<br />

agree.<br />

3 - <strong>Manual</strong> Opening<br />

• However, you can also open a chart by selecting [Open] from the [File] menu, like you used to do<br />

with previous <strong>version</strong>s of software, or, for example, if you want to open charts you have already<br />

installed on your hard drive.<br />

• The Open file window appears and allows you to specify the location where you want to locate the<br />

chart.<br />

• Then pull down the pop-up menu File of type and select the type of the chart that you wish to open<br />

( vector or rasterized). For example, if you wish to open a Mapmedia CD-ROM, select Mapmedia<br />

from the File of type pop-up menu.<br />

• Insert the Mapmedia CD-ROM that you wish to open. After a short while, the contents of the CD-<br />

ROM are displayed as a list in the dialog box.<br />

• Select the chart stored on the CD-ROM by clicking its name in the list; then click Open (or double<br />

click the chart name in the list).<br />

• The dialog box with the warning about the use of digitized documents appears. Click Accept if you<br />

agree.<br />

After it has been loaded, the Mapmedia chart is displayed in the chart window.<br />

If you forget to enter your personal codes before starting up the software, it shows automatically the<br />

"Mapmedia user permit" dialogue box.
