<strong>MaxSea</strong> AIS TX Messages<br />

User can send message using the AIS TX function directly from <strong>MaxSea</strong>. Priority, addressed or broadcast,<br />

acknowledgement and message text are managed.<br />

To activate AIS TX dialog box to enter your message, go to the [Targets] menu and choose [AIS TX Message]<br />

If you need to send a message:<br />

1. You can choose how to send it , either addressed or broadcast.<br />

2. If you have chosen the Addressed option you have to enter the called boat's MMSI number.<br />

3. Assign a type for your sending message either it's safety or normal.<br />

4. Then, choose a build channel expression depending to the sending priority. Four expressions between Channel<br />

A, B, (A or B), (A and B).<br />

5. Check "Acknowledgement required" if you wish.<br />

6. At last to finish by typing your message and click on OK to send it.<br />

How to connect the Junction Box (UAIS transponder)<br />

Mount the junction box where the junction box is protected from the rain and water splash.<br />

Mounting:<br />

1. Open the lid of the junction box and fix the junction box with the four tapping screws (5X20). Avoid bundling the<br />

3.3 m cable of the junction box together with any power cable. This causes malfunction.<br />

2. Connect cables to the terminal board (referring the cable connection below )<br />

3. Fix the lid after connecting external equipment.<br />

4. Clamp the cable with several U-type cable clamps (local supply) at suitable intervals.<br />
